Hey everyone, I wanted to share this press release from Lost Lantern. This Fall’s Scotch Lovers’ Collection is right up my alley, and I’m sure many of you will be interested in these as well.

Lost Lantern’s Fall 2025 release, The Scotch Lovers’ Collection, [debuts] November 12.

Highlights include American Vatted Malt Remix and American Vatted Malt Reissue, a trio of first-ever single casks from Nantucket-based Triple Eight Distillery, a release from Idaho’s certified organic Warfield Distillery, and a 10-year-old McCarthy’s, the first decade-aged whiskey from America’s original single malt distillery.

Start preparing your wallets because you’re gonna want one of everything. To be fair, though, I was bracing for these prices to be far higher, especially the Triple Eight releases.

Considering the cost of the Triple Eight Distillery’s original bottlings of The Notch 8-year ($249.99), 12-year ($349.99), and 15-year ($499.99), seeing Lost Lantern’s prices is a huge relief. Because I’ll be buying all of them.

Here’s the full list of bottles and prices in this collection:

• American Vatted Malt Remix ($100): A bold new edition of the whiskey that launched Lost Lantern, blending single malts from 11 distilleries across eight states.
• American Vatted Malt Reissue ($90): A limited return of Lost Lantern’s original 2020 release, honoring the whiskey that began the company’s journey.
• Warfield Idaho Single Malt ($100):  Lost Lantern’s first Idaho release, from a certified organic distillery known for using traditional Scottish pot stills. Ideal for Speyside and Lowland fans.
• Triple Eight Trio: This trio from Nantucket-based Triple Eight is the first time the distillery has ever released single casks or cask-strength bottlings.
  • Triple Eight Peated Massachusetts Single Malt ($120): The first peated whiskey from this storied distillery. Ideal for fans of the Scottish Islands region.
  • Triple Eight Massachusetts Single Malt 10 Years Old ($150): A decade-old single cask showcasing the distillery’s patient, maritime-influenced aging. Ideal for fans of Speyside and the nearby areas of the Highlands.
  • Triple Eight Sauternes Cask Aged Massachusetts Single Malt 11 Years Old ($180):  Lost Lantern’s oldest whiskey to date and its first fully matured in an ex-Sauternes cask. Ideal for Highland whisky fans.

And last but definitely not least:

• McCarthy’s Peated Oregon Single Malt 10 Years Old ($150): The first 10-year-old release from America’s original single malt distillery, a defining milestone for the category. Ideal for Islay fans.

So, uh… I don’t know about you, but there’s nothing here I’d want to miss.

If you were wondering, a full set of one of everything in this collection will run you $890 plus taxes and shipping. However, in the past, these seasonal releases come with a bundle option at a slight discount. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see options that effectively let us purchase the set for between $800 and $850.

Update: Bundle pricing has been announced. The 5 single casks, which would individually total to $700, will be available as a bundle for $625. The two Vatted Malt bottlings (Reissue and Remix), which would individually total to $190, will be available as a bundle for $170. If you buy both bundles, the total available savings opportunity is $95.

If my budget was really too tight for it, I’d personally only be able to bring myself to leave out the American Vatted Malt Reissue. I might be able to convince myself to leave out the Warfield, at potential cost of FOMO, because I wouldn’t know what I’m missing, but history tells me I’d likely come to regret that choice once I hear from others who did purchase it.

According to Lost Lantern co-founder, Adam Polonski, the American Vatted Malt Reissue “is the original blend rebottled under our new label … basically a limited re-release” of Lost Lantern’s very first bottling, American Vatted Malt #1. With the fresh label and knowing that this is the final stock of that original blend, that bottling definitely has collector’s value — but if you’re already happy with your existing reserves of AVM #1, you could pass on this bottle.

We’ve seen some of these labels coming thanks to Jacob Kiper’s (@ComingWhiskey) scouring of the TTB’s COLA submissions. Vergennes, VT (October 29, 2025) — Lost Lantern, the award-winning independent bottler of American whiskey, proudly announces its Fall 2025 release: The Scotch Lovers’ Collection, an invitation for Scotch drinkers to take a deep dive into the more traditional side of American single malt.

Officially recognized by the federal government as a new whiskey category in December 2024, American single malt is a wide-ranging style, including both whiskies that are very different from other world single malts and ones with distinctively traditional, classic single malt flavors with American nuances.

The Scotch Lovers’ Collection shines a light on these more traditional American single malts with flavor profiles that will immediately appeal to Scotch drinkers… even if they’ve never encountered or explored American single malt before.
